Rev. Dr. W. L. Richardson is a native of South Carolina. His family relocated to North Carolina when he was a very young man. He received his High School Diploma from Durham High School, Durham, North Carolina in 1971. Rev. Dr. Richardson attended Durham Technical Community College, North Carolina Central University, and received a B. S. Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Religious Philosophy from Shaw University, Raleigh, NC. In 2015 he received his Masters in Divinity from the Apex School of Theology.   In May 2018, Rev. Dr. Richardson obtained his Doctoral degree from the Apex School of Theology. 

Rev. Dr. Richardson has attended and participated in various workshops and conventions offered through The National Baptist Congress of Christian Education of The National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc. and The Progressive National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc. Rev. Dr. Richardson is currently the Pastor of New Hope Person Baptist Church, located in Timberlake, NC. He is an avid mentor, educator and friend to many. He has also served as Pastor of The Jones Chapel Baptist Church, Roxboro, NC, Vice Moderator, Member of the Executive Board, and Chairman of the Program Committee for the East Cedar Grove Association. Reverend Richardson, is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Married to the former Dianne Johnson, they are the proud parents of three daughters, Ronetta, Cherri, and Tammy, five grandchildren: Dynika, Jalon, Jabon, Jonathan, and Ericka, and one great grandchild Genesis.
